ACADEMIC ASSOCIATES PROGRAM
-- The mission of the Associates program of the American Geological Institute is to serve the wider geoscience community by fostering improved communication between academia, the private sector, and government. The ultimate goals of the program are to develop a more effective public presence for the geosciences, develop a sufficient stream of well-trained geoscientists to support industry and government, and to allow for the dissemination of ideas between the various geoscience sectors.

The American Geological Institute Academic Associates Program enhances the exposure of Academic Geoscience Departments and promotes communication between academia and other sectors of the Geoscience Community.
